The focus of this clinic is learning how to be a more effective sweeper using proper sweeping techniques and learning the various components of rock management from both the perspective of the front-end players and in terms of the respective rolls and dynamics of the team as a whole.
You will learn and practice proper sweeping technique. We will introduce you to directional sweeping.
We will teach you how to judge rock speed and how to time rocks to help you ‘read’ the ice. We will emphasize the importance of constant communication in rock management from set-up, to when the rock is in movement, to after the rock comes to rest.
We are going to have a chance to observe and practice core rock management skills in the context of the dynamics of team communication so you can become more effective as a team!
Space is limited to 24 participants.
